The Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) is a 5.5-year undergraduate program comprising 4.5 years of academic learning followed by a one-year mandatory internship. This course trains students to become skilled Unani physicians by combining traditional Unani medical principles with modern medical sciences. Students learn key subjects including anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, Unani medicine, and community health. During the internship, participants acquire practical clinical experience at Unani hospitals and healthcare institutions under the supervision of qualified professionals.
Once they complete BUMS, graduates can:
